Loco Moco

Yesterday for brunch I had to try the local favorite, the Loco Moco. I’ve now seen it at several places, so I know it’s not a one-off. This is probably one of the most hearty breakfasts you can imagine; fried rice, gravy, hamburger patty, and eggs.




Poached Pears

For dessert tonight I poached a couple of pears in my favorite grocery store wine, Beringer’s Pinot Noir, with a little sugar and vanilla. They were really tasty served warm with a dollop of ice cream.

Molton Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Coulis

Main Course

Salad:
Raspberry vinaigrette over baby spinach with candied walnuts

Main Course:
Sauteed mushroom, spinach and cheese stuffed chicken breast with pureed parsnips and sauteed aspragus (Pomerol)

Dessert:
Molten chocolate cake with raspberry coulis and homemade whipped cream (Port)
